Happy New Year!
‘Ring out the old, ring in the new’
Into the night sky, the Priory bellringers rang, the bells slowly reducing in number as the old year passed, until the final seconds of 2024, and 2025 was awaited, in silence. Silent bells, that is; the revellers of Malvern town were revelling hard and the fireworks were flashing and crackling.
And on the dot at midnight the tenor bell chimed. 12 strikes welcomed in the New Year. ‘Happy New Year’ the folk in the churchyard called to each other. The firework flashes in the sky intensified, but so did the peal of bells, blotting out the crackles and booms.
2024: a year of prayer and people, worship and fellowship,
which included…
change - a new, level, warm, nave floor and Priory worship at Malvern College Chapel.
Priory farewells - thank you, goodbye and God bless to Rod and Rita, Gilly, Anne and James.
Priory welcomes - to Dylan and Bradley and to all who worship, volunteer and visit the Priory.
In 2025 the Priory gives thanks and looks forward to…
welcoming Rev Roger Latham and Rachel to Priory ministry,
thanking Rev Adam Wharton as he completes his curacy and leaves the Priory,
sharing the Good News with all.
Thank you to all, past and present, who’ve made the Priory God’s living church, here in the heart of Malvern, for the past 940 years.
